Cooperative Learning:
Classroom Learning Networks

There are a variety of tools available to teachers to use with all grade levels from elementary to high school.  Some of these sites are accessible from mobile devices.  Select the tool that works best with the age of the students and purpose of the collaboration.

Benefits:
- walled gardens for students to experience social networking in safe settings
- offer multiple tools for teachers to report, view and share with parents and students

Cautions:
- know your user agreements!
- know your privacy settings! 
- design authentic learning experiences
- teach how to be a good collaborator, commenter, blogger
- establish expectations and make them clear to everyone

Edmodo has an Android app that can be added to the tablets to use on the mobile device more effectively.  However, there will be some limitations from the app version.
